Biomedical scientist and computational biologist looking to join an applied bioinformatics team
I am passionate about bridging the gap between laboratory bench discoveries and patient care using big data, multi-omics and AI and aspire to work in a collaborative research environment that fosters leadership, communication and innovation to advance our understanding of human diseases.
Some facts about me:
- Lived in Venezuela, USA (NY), Spain, and Canada
- Taught myself to code in R and Python during the first year of my PhD
- Attended conferences in New Orleans, San Diego, Viena, Athens, Santiago de Compostela and Málaga giving talks about my research
- Was invited as a keynote speaker in a bininformatics session at a myeloma and cell therapy conference in Ostrava, Czech Republic as a 3rd year PhD candidate
- Have developed 2 apps with machine learning algorithms to improve patient stratification in multiple myeloma research
- Completed my PhD in Applied Biomedicine and Bioinformatics in record time!
- Published 6+ research papers in high-impact hematology and oncology journals
- In my free time I am a crossfit athlete and take care of 3 cats
